Evercare Adult & Pediatric Dentistry keeps same-day openings reserved specifically for moments like this. Emergency Dental Care Near Willis:
Where Urgency Meets Calm

A dental emergency can mean a dozen different things, from a chipped tooth to pain that’s kept you up all night. Our team sorts through what’s happened first, then moves straight into building a treatment around it. Care typically falls into a few categories, including:

Sudden pain or an unexpected break doesn’t fit neatly into a future appointment slot. Our same-day dentist in Huntsville keeps spots available for exactly these situations.

An infection that’s spread too far to save the tooth still needs to come out quickly. Emergency tooth extraction relieves the pain and stops the infection from spreading further.

A cracked tooth can range from a minor chip to a fracture that reaches deeper into the tooth. We’ll assess the damage, relieve the discomfort, and determine the best way to protect what can be saved.

What to Do After
a Dental Injury

Dental injuries can be stressful, but what you do before reaching our Huntsville dental office can help protect your tooth and keep you more comfortable. Call Evercare as soon as you can, then follow these steps until you arrive:

For a Cracked or Chipped Tooth:

Rinse with warm salt water, use a cold compress for swelling, and take an over-the-counter pain reliever as directed if needed. Stick with soft foods, chew on the other side, and avoid anything especially hot, cold, or hard. Never place aspirin directly on the tooth or gums.

For a Head or Facial Injury:

After a significant blow to the head, symptoms like loss of consciousness, repeated vomiting, confusion, worsening headache, unusual sleepiness, seizures, or concerning behavior changes need urgent medical attention first.

For a Knocked-Out Permanent Tooth

Handle it only by the white crown, never the root, and don’t scrub it. If you can’t gently place it back in the socket, keep it moist in Hank’s Balanced Salt Solution (HBSS), saliva, or cold milk—never water—and call us right away.

For a Knocked-Out Baby Tooth

Don’t put it back in the socket. Doing so could damage the permanent tooth developing underneath, so call us for next steps.

For a Broken Piece of Tooth

Bring the fragment with you if you can find it, keeping it moist in milk or saline along the way.

Once you’re here, we’ll assess the injury and determine what your tooth needs. Depending on the damage, treatment may be as simple as monitoring, bonding, or a filling, while deeper cracks may need a crown or root canal. If a tooth is too severely fractured to save, we’ll walk you through dental extraction and what comes next.

Let's Talk About Urgent Dental Care

Dental emergencies raise a lot of quick questions, and we’re ready with answers.

Severe pain, swelling, a knocked-out tooth, or uncontrolled bleeding all warrant a same-day call. When in doubt, reach out, and we’ll help you figure out next steps.
